Welcome to Leo Trains Dogs!

Growing up in the countryside of Germany, I’ve always felt a special connection with dogs. From an early age, being surrounded by them and nurturing that relationship has been a part of my life. Our wonderful family dogs Sari and Anton were my companions and best friends through my early childhood. My first “professional” dog-walking experience was with my aunt’s Labrador mix, Nuja, having been paid 5 euros and a box of chocolates for a week of walking her. That’s where my love for caring for dogs began.

After moving to London to study film, I found myself drawn back to dogs and started working part-time for a dog walking company in East London. Eventually, I realised my passion didn’t lie in the film industry, but in working with dogs full-time, leading me to start my own business, “Leo Walks Dogs”. I always wanted to find better ways to communicate and work with dogs.

Over the years I’ve always strived to learn more about dog behaviour and training. After 10 years of working with and learning more about dogs and dog behaviour I made the leap to become a certified dog trainer. I became a member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), and also qualified as an Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor with Steve Mann Dog Training.

Now, I’m dedicated to helping puppy parents and dog guardians build strong, lasting relationships with their dogs using humane, science-based training techniques. Whether you’re looking to start off on the right foot with your new puppy or strengthen the bond with your dog, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
